What is Gestalt?
Gestalt therapy is a form of humanistic psychotherapy.
The experience in the moment, in the "here and now" is in the foreground.
The focus is on a holistic perception of the experience in order to reintegrate split off parts of the personality and to become aware of repressed feelings, needs and behavioral patterns that stand in the way of our personal growth.
Through techniques such as body awareness, dialogue with different parts of the personality and emotional expression, self-regulation and the integration of the experiences are made possible in order to achieve autonomy and personal responsibility.

And how does such a meeting work?

"Become who you are, ... so that you can achieve the change you want!" This is one of the most basic principles of Gestalt therapy.
This is how we achieve that:

-
on the basis of a dialogue in which you and I meet at eye level

-
using various techniques and experiments, with the aim of finding out what you really feel and need

-
with the unconditional acceptance that I, as a Gestalt therapist, have towards my clients
How a session is structured always depends on what the individual person needs at the moment and what is useful for the process. For example, if you don't like painting, then we probably won't use this form of expression.
About me:
My name is Dana Renger,
I was born in Germany and currently live in Guadalajara, in the beautiful and vibrant Mexico.
I am an kindergarden teacher, certified language supporter and Gestalt therapist.
On my path through life, I have been able to face great challenges and overcome hurdles. I was able to get to know what it is like to celebrate new life in one moment and in the other one have to accept the death of loved ones. I am grateful for the variety of experiences that life has given me and that have expanded my ability to work with my clients with humility, empathy and gratitude.
